Is it free to search for a nanny?

Yes. Submitting a hire enquiry and receiving a shortlist is free. You only pay when you hire a nanny through Nannvo.

Do nannies pay to join?

No. Nannvo is free for nannies. We charge families through the all-in hourly rate and one-off employer setup.

Why is there a +£1/hr surcharge under 9 hours?

Very low-hour contracts have similar admin to larger ones. A small hourly surcharge keeps after-school and micro-hours care sustainable for families and nannies alike.

What’s the short-term +£1/hr surcharge?

Contracts under four weeks (minimum 20 hours total) need extra setup and payroll handling. The +£1/hr covers that overhead.

Can I use Tax-Free Childcare to pay my nanny?

Sometimes — if your nanny is on the approved childcare register (Ofsted in England, Care Inspectorate in Scotland). It does not reduce your employer responsibilities, and Nannvo does not process Tax-Free Childcare today.
